Sunday Bulletin

7/5/26

This Sunday Pastor Randy will be bringing the message,

“Thank You, Lord.”

Jr. High Mission Camp starts at 4 pm!

YOSM Camps & VBS

YOSM camps begin Sunday! Dates are July 5-9 and 12-17. Vacation Bible School begins Monday at PUMC as well. VBS will be one of the mission projects our Jr. High campers will help with.

In Sunday’s bulletin there is a list of needed food items for camps and OCC shoebox items needed during this time. Please drop off items to the church.

Let’s be praying in advance for all our leaders and campers to experience the love and power of the Holy Spirit in a new way!

Pastor Binu’s first Sunday is July 19.

We will have a brunch for him and his family the following Sunday, July 26. So bring your best breakfast casserole, pastries,

fruit and/or favorite brunch item!

Let’s pray for their safety and blessing, as they are traveling in India!

This Sunday, Pastor Randy brings the message and Pastor Larry Collins will fill in July 12th. I’m excited to see how God will

prepare our hearts through Pastor Randy and Pastor Larry, and work through Pastor Binu and all of us in the future!

Next 2nd Sunday Breakfast  is July 12

Breakfast will be after worship until we return to our fall schedule of two services, September 13.

MISSIONS AND OUTREACH

Daily Bread/Meals on Wheels

PUMC began delivering meals to Menard County residents who are part of the Daily Bread/Meals on Wheels program on Wednesday, July 1st.

Special thanks to everyone who has signed up!

We have  1 spot still open on July 27 for OUT of town delivery. If you would like to help out, please sign up.

(See the attached calendar for more info.)

A printed calendar is in the church vestibule for sign-up.

You can also call the church office, 217-632-7689.

Bluejay Fuel

PUMC is partnering with Menard County Family Collaborative, Menard Caring and PORTA school district in Bluejay Fuel, a program to help insure that children in our community are fed. Eligible families will receive shelf-stable food, donated and bagged by volunteers on a weekly basis, to alleviate hunger. One of the things PUMC is doing is acting as a storage facility for overflow of items from PORTA Central. We can also donate food, funds, time and used grocery bags to support this effort. Just as importantly, we can pray specifically for our families who are struggling to feed their children. See the attached Bluejay Fuel insert for more information. This program will resume in the fall after school starts. More details will follow as they become available.

WELCOME!

The word “church” might be a noun, but at PUMC we also consider it a verb! We don’t just go to church here. We extend our hands out to our community, our region, and even internationally from our mission camps offered here at the church, mission trips, Operation Christmas Child, feeding the homeless and equipping apartments for single moms at the Mercy House in Springfield, and so much more!

Join us here for the journey of your lifetime!
